ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Permanent 0.6 EFT part-time position located at Werribee Mercy Hospital
  • Hours can be increased until June 2024
  • This is a Grade 3 Social Work role, however advanced Grade 2 Social Workers will be considered
  • Provide dynamic, high quality, evidence - based, responsive social work services to a broad range of client groups in the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit
  • Excellent opportunity to work in a challenging, multidisciplinary model of care

ABOUT YOU:

  • Willingness and ability to participate in a weekend roster and public holiday roster. Can negotiate frequency of weekend work
  • Bachelor or Masters of Social Work
  • Advanced clinical Social Work skills
  • Hospital Social Work and /or substantial, diverse community service sector experience
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team with complex individuals and families, across the lifespan
  • Strong understanding of, and ability to comply with relevant legislation and frameworks underpinning health social work
  • Enthusiastic and demonstrated team building and leadership capabilities

Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care.
