The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

As one of the most highly regarded medical imaging sites in Australia, The Radiology Department at RMH provides a 24-hour service, undertaking over 210,000 medical imaging examinations annually. Modalities include MRI, CT, Ultrasound, General and Trauma Radiography (CR/DR), Theatre and Mobile Radiography, Angiography and Fluoroscopic procedures as well as Mammography.

We are fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and over 140 highly trained Radiographers and Sonographers. Our focus is to provide good patient outcomes by providing a high level of patient care and outstanding imaging quality, and a commitment to training and education with CPD activities fully supported.


We are looking for a passionate Grade 2 Radiographer to join our Radiology team. This is afull time permanentposition, working80 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

Your new role:

  • Undertake routine and specialised medical imaging procedures within the RMH Radiology Departments and the Private Radiology Suite.
  • Ensure high quality service delivery and patient care and safety, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Be responsible for the use of ionising radiation where applicable, including the monitoring of all imaging equipment during examinations.
  • Participate in a rotating roster including on-call.

About You:

  • You are an AHPRA registered Radiographer with a Victorian Radiation Use License.
  • You are committed to great patient outcomes by providing a high level of patient care and outstanding imaging quality.
  • You are a great communicator and work well in a team environment.
