About us:
Chestnut Gardens, located in Doveton, is home to 100 high care residents with 60 high complex care beds and 40 psychogeriatric beds within 2 wings, The Boulevard and The Avenue which utilises the latest in care and design philosophies.
Our residential care team at Chestnut Gardens work either in The Avenue or The Boulevard and care for our residents with chronic physical and/or mental health care conditions. To ensure the best care, those that live at Chestnut Gardens work in collaboration with a skilled nursing group in developing person centred care.

We are currently seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses for ongoing Part Time positions with hours ranging from 48 hours per fortnight (0.6EFT) up to 72 hours per fortnight (0.9EFT). We recently moved from a rotating roster to a set shift roster and currently have a combination of AM and PM shifts available across a 7 day roster.
About the role:
No two days will be the same as you work within an established, friendly and supportive team environment, working closely together to care for patients along with providing opportunities for staff development and growth in areas that staff are passionate about.
Taking a team focus on delivery of care, our primary focus is on a patient’s safe and timely care. We have a strong education focus and encourage staff to further develop their skills, along with being a part of a friendly and social environment to work in.
About you:
You are a suitably qualified and experienced Enrolled Nurse with exposure across mental health and/or aged health care. Having a compassionate disposition and passion to making a difference in the quality of our resident's life, is simply just what you do. Being innovative and thinking outside the box is an important part of the role staff play at Chestnut Gardens to give our Resident’s a reason to wake each morning. Above all, is your passion working within Aged Care.
As someone with a strong work ethic, motivation and personal values, your contribution to the team will support each other and our organisation to be leaders in our field with exciting and progressive treatment and care.

- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- A proactive and team player attitude
- Are patient-centred approach with excellent bedside manner
- Hold current APHRA registration
- Are dedicated to safe best practice & quality care
- Commit to delivering patient centred care & a patient advocacy
- Are enthusiastic, compassionate & able to work collaboratively
- Value and are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles
You will also possess:
- Current AHPRA registration, essential
- Experience as an Enrolled Nurse working within Aged Care, essential
