This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

 

There are also Fixed Term opportunities for substantive occupant/s who are on a period/s of Parental Leave.

 

This recruitment pool will be advertised intermittently over its lifespan. The initial advertising campaign will be conducted over a two week period. If required, to expedite the review process, the panel will commence assessments of submitted applications prior to the advertisement’s closing date.

 

It is anticipated that first round interviews for this position will be held the week beginning 17 March 2025.

 

Position Profile: The Child and Adolescent Health Service are seeking dynamic and values-driven individuals to be considered for the role of Senior Social Worker within our Child Development Service team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will provide advanced social work services to consumers. You will undertake clinical assessment of an allocated caseload and contribute as a senior member to the functioning of a multi-disciplinary team. Your role will plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate social work interventions for children with or at significant risk of developmental delay, with a team context.

About the Child Development Service: The Child Development Service provides multidisciplinary assessment and intervention services to infant, children and young people with developmental delay or difficulties that impact on function, participation and/or the parent-child relationship.

Clinicians adopt a child and family-centred approach, working in partnership with families to address developmental concerns that are of priority to the family.

Our teams include Clinical Psychologists, Developmental Paediatricians, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, and other allied health professionals.

The Child Development Service provides services at approximately 18 locations across the metropolitan Perth area, as well as providing home, school and community visits as needed.

To be considered for this role, you must have tertiary qualifications in Social Work and be eligible for registration for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or the Society of Professional Social Workers.
