Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. On offer is an excellent opportunity to join the Aged Care team, located at Nepean Hospital. This position is available in either a Permanent Full time or Part time role.
As a Registered Nurse with NBMLHD your role is to provide safe and effective patient-centred nursing care to the patients/clients and carers of the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. This role will see you supported by an experienced and dedicated team consisting of a Nurse Manager, NUM's, Nurse Practitioners, CNC's, CNE, CNS's and RN's. You will participate in the identification of Best Practice initiatives and support their implementation and Identify and initiate unit based quality improvement activities participating in monitoring and evaluating outcomes.
Working with the Aged Care team will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Completion of new graduate year or equivalent recent experience working in an acute care or aged care environment
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, verbal and written
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Work Health & Safety in the work place
- Able to perform effectively as a team member
- Ability to work a flexible rotating roster
