The Nurse Manager Policy, Practice & Innovation is responsible for the promotion of a strong culture of contemporary evidence-based nursing and midwifery practice, quality and innovation and a culture of safety. The Policy, Practice & Innovation role fosters and maintain close professional relationships with relevant executive teams, clinical managers, peers and district managers to achieve organisational goals. This role will support professional and strategic Nursing and Midwifery leads to ensure policy documents align with safe, high-quality care delivery and support the ongoing development of innovative, patient-centred models of care. Working collaboratively through a district-wide committee, the Nurse Manager will oversee the shared governance processes for reviewing, developing, coordinating, communicating, implementing, and evaluating clinical practice, policy documents and models of care. Additionally, the Nurse Manager Clinical Practice & Innovation will provide oversight of Nursing and Midwifery Directorate compliance with Ministry of Health policies and lead related clinical initiatives to enhance practice excellence. The position reports to the Nursing and Midwifery District Executive team, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and promoting a culture of clinical excellence across the district. The Nurse Manager works collaboratively with Nursing & Midwifery Executive Teams and both internal and external stakeholders to create a strong culture of safety and quality, demonstrating leadership, innovation and evidenced based practice.
