About the Role
As the Program Manager for the SA Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service (SA BIRS), you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping the future of rehabilitation services for people with acquired brain injuries. Reporting to the Program Director, Neuroscience and Rehabilitation Program, CALHN, you will oversee the effective delivery of high-quality, client-centred rehabilitation across SA BIRS. Leading an interdisciplinary team, you will drive service excellence, foster innovation, and enhance rehabilitation outcomes for clients, ensuring they receive the best possible care and support on their recovery journey.
In this dynamic role, you will provide strategic direction and professional leadership, working collaboratively with key stakeholders, including senior clinicians, rehabilitation consultants, and allied health professionals. You will also be instrumental in developing and promoting SA BIRS, expanding its research, teaching, and education initiatives, and strengthening partnerships across the health sector. As a valued member of the Neuroscience and Rehabilitation leadership team, you will contribute to statewide service improvements at the Repat Health Precinct (RHP), ensuring SA BIRS remains at the forefront of rehabilitation care in South Australia.
About You
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our rehabilitation services team. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Qualifications & Registration – Relevant degree-level qualification with registration or eligibility for full membership with the appropriate professional body (APHRA for registered professions).
Skills & Abilities – Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills, along with the ability to manage workplace safety and risk in line with Australian standards.
Experience – Proven success in managing health or rehabilitation services, implementing organisational change, and overseeing financial, capital, and human resources.
Knowledge – In-depth understanding of rehabilitation processes, acquired brain injury impacts, human resource management, and health system safety standards.
