About the Role

As a Thoracic Consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of clinical and public health services provided by the Thoracic Medicine Department. Your expertise will support the delivery of high-quality care to both patients of the Department of Thoracic Medicine and those referred for treatment. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that the highest standards of clinical practice are maintained, while also contributing to the ongoing development and enhancement of existing programs. Your insights will help drive best practice across the service, ultimately improving outcomes for patients.

In addition to your clinical work, you will have the opportunity to engage in teaching and training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals. You’ll also contribute to ground breaking research, pushing the boundaries of knowledge and innovation within the thoracic medicine field. About You

To thrive in this role, you will bring the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • MBBS or equivalent with Specialist Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority.
  • Proven clinical excellence in the relevant specialty and a commitment to professional integrity.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and liaise with diverse individuals.
  • Extensive experience in Thoracic Medicine clinical care, teaching, and research, with a commitment to quality improvement and patient-focused care.
