About the role:

Provide inpatient community and consultative specialist Palliative Care Services, offer professional leadership to staff, actively contribute to the multidisciplinary care team, and ensure the organization, management, and provision of specialist palliative care services at Rockhampton Hospital.

About you:

  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Staff Specialist roles require registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Palliative Medicine with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA).
  • Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies is mandatory.
  • Willingness to participate in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide medical care, including emergency care, in a multidisciplinary environment.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $528,432 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A salary rate between $182,106 - $266,677 p.a.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
