As the Clinical Nurse, you will practice autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, primarily in the Woorabinda Hospital providing direct nursing care at an advanced level emergency, general-inpatient, and outpatient care to clients of this predominately Indigenous, rural/remote health care setting.

Located in the Indigenous Community of Woorabinda, the Woorabinda MPHS provides first line health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population. Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, Operational and Administrative staff provide: 24-hour Accident and Emergency Care, Hospital Inpatient Care, Residential Aged Care, Community Home Support Services, Community Maternal and Child Health Services, Community and Public Health Services (including school health services), Community Alcohol and Drug and Mental Health Services, and Community Chronic Disease Services.

About the role:
Provide support and direction to the Registered Nurse (RN), Enrolled Nurse (EN) and other non-registered nursing personnel. The Clinical Nurse follows defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe, practice and services and workplaces.
- Deliver an advanced standard of patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation by using clinical nursing expertise including for patients with complex care needs.
- Work collaboratively with peers and others to create a positive practice environment that achieves best practice outcomes for recipients of healthcare services.
About you:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
- Advanced Life Support, Paediatric Life Support and Triage are mandatory.
- While not mandatory, further qualification or evidence of further learning relating to Rural and Remote Nursing and or Midwifery/X-ray Operator would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
