About the role

As a Senior Pharmacist, you will lead the organisation, management, and day-to-day operations of a designated pharmacy area, ensuring the delivery of high-level pharmacy services. You will exercise independent judgement to provide expert medicines information, therapeutic advice, and pharmaceutical care to patients, as well as guidance to medical, nursing, and health professionals. Operating within established hospital policies and professional standards, you will play a critical role in supporting safe, effective, and patient-focused care.

In this role, you will also develop and implement strategies to optimise pharmaceutical use, aiming to improve patient outcomes while ensuring cost-effective practices. About You

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Pharmacist to join our team, bringing strong leadership, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills. You will bring:

  • Strong Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, public relations abilities, and proven experience in supervising, educating, and guiding teams.
  • Organisational and Problem-Solving Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and the ability to analyse and interpret data, meet deadlines, and solve complex issues within a healthcare environment.
  • Extensive Pharmacy and Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with leadership or management experience in delivering and improving high-quality service outcomes.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Pharmacy Standards: In-depth understanding of pharmacy practice, relevant codes of practice, and professional standards to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
