Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.

SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services within a catchment area stretching more than 3300 square kilometres across the southern half of Perth.

The Urology Department is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the team at Fiona Stanley Hospital.  The successful applicant/s shall work in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Consultant, is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care within their speciality.  The CNS supports the CNC by supervising the delivery of quality patient care, through developing standards of practice, implementing changes to clinical practice, education of staff and initiating research and quality improvement activities. The CNS is responsible for the provision of a consultation service within their area of expertise within the Hospital.

The CNS works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired outcomes in the Urology patient population within the inpatient and ambulatory care setting. Multiple roles vacant at FSH Urology. The roles include surveillance in both bladder, prostate cancer, and co-ordinator for the multidisciplinary uro-oncology meeting.

As a senior nurse has professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery and provides mentorship and role modelling for nurses and contributes to the advancement of the profession, in keeping with the vision and values for Fiona Stanley Nursing.
