Join our Aboriginal Health Services team as an Senior Podiatrist and help support our commitment to quality patient care.

About the role:

Reporting to the Aboriginal Health Services Manager, this role is responsible for providing podiatry care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network including prevention, assessment and management in conjunction with the Aboriginal Health practitioner.

Duties for the role will include:

  • Working with a culturally skilled workforce and embracing learnings and approaches to maintain a culturally safe and welcoming program,
  • Regularly evaluating team performance and reporting on quality improvement activities,
  • Independently facilitating and supporting performance management and professional development of the team to facilitate best clinical practice and align with the strategic directions and goals for SALHN,
  • Facilitating the training, guidance and mentoring of team and community members to build capability and capacity to make feet becoming everybody’s business.

About you:

  • Degree or equivalent in Podiatry which is registrable with the Podiatry Board of Australia,
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice regarding clinical service delivery and improvement opportunities,
  • Ability to be innovative and enterprising in relation to problem solving and planning,
  • Be flexible, adaptive and responsive to change, aligning with key organisational priorities particularly in an environment with competing demands and changing service partners,
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards. (Mandatory for all clinical positions.
