Fairfield Hospital is seeking a motivated and dedicated Intern Pharmacist to join our dynamic pharmacy team. As an Intern Pharmacist, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, gaining valuable hands-on experience in patient-centered care. You will assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, provide clinical pharmacy services, and participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.You will work closely with senior pharmacists and healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to a wide range of clinical specialties.This role will allow you to further develop your knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and hospital pharmacy services. What you'll be doing
The Intern Pharmacist is responsible for assisting and participating in the provision of a range of Pharmacy services and activities in a supervised environment as outlined by the AHPRA requirements for supervised practice. Participation in quality improvement and professional development.

- Eligible to apply for Supervised Practice arrangements with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) prior to the agreed date for commencement and enrollment in the National Intern Training Program for pharmacists.
- Current clinical pharmacy knowledge and clinical problem solving ability, including ability to perform medication chart reviews.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including medication counselling to enable a patient to safely and effectively administer medicines.
- An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of a pharmacist.
- Commitment to hospital pharmacy practice, lifelong learning and willingness to take initiative to broaden skills, knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a team.
