The Community Health and Therapy Services (CHATS) at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff.
About the Team
CHATS play a vital role in the continuum of care for consumers and their carers at discharge from acute care through to re-establishment in the consumers' residence, or when necessary, transitioning to residential care settings. CHATS comprise a range of outpatient healthcare activities focussed on assessing, re-abling and maintaining individuals' capacity to successfully remain in their community.
