About the Role

As a Consultant in the Endocrinology Unit, you will play a key role in delivering safe, best-practice clinical services to both our patients and those referred to our unit. You will utilise your expertise to provide high-quality care, ensuring patients receive the best possible outcomes. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining and improving the standards of clinical service delivery, ensuring we continue to lead in excellence and patient safety.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will actively participate in teaching and training both undergraduate and postgraduate students, sharing your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of healthcare professionals. You’ll also be an integral part of our team, helping to design and implement service improvements that align with best practice guidelines. About You

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated specialist to join our team in Endocrinology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence, a commitment to continuous professional development, and a passion for patient care. Duties covered will include participating in the on-call roster, supervising the insulin adjustment clinic and conducting outpatients clinics at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent, with appropriate specialist qualifications and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority.
  • Clinical Expertise: Proven experience in clinical practice within Endocrinology, with a commitment to quality improvement and maintenance of professional standards.
  • Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, and a demonstrated spirit of co-operation.
  • Knowledge & Development: In-depth knowledge of Endocrinology clinical practices, policies, and protocols, with a focus on patient rights and continuous improvement.
