Mental Health Emergency Department are looking for a Clinical Nurse to join their team. Includes the MH ED (Mental Health Emergency Department) the team provides first point of contact and access to the Mental Health Service via a hospital-based triage, and assessment service in the Emergency Department of Redland Hospital.
MH ED role in partnership with Redlands ED is to provide an efficient, high-quality assessment and care planning service for all referred consumers.

About the Role
- The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering quality nursing care at an advanced level that requires a broad developing knowledge in professional issues for consumers who experience Acute Mental Health Concerns.
- The Clinical Nurse promotes professional standards of practice and conduct and is responsible for achievement of unit goals and standards utilising contemporary evidence-based interventions.
- The Clinical nurse is responsible for the physical health care monitoring and interventions for their allocated consumers and supports the multidisciplinary team in the monitoring of physical health care needs.
- The position provides a contact and a source of professional advice for care providers and other relevant clinical stakeholders on mental health service delivery, comprehensive assessments, risk management and Mental Health Act 2016 legislation.
