Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.

Your Opportunity:

The position of Speech Pathologist–Advanced (Inpatient Care) will:  

  • Deliver advanced speech pathology clinical and consultancy services in the clinical areas of complex feeding and swallowing disorders (dysphagia) and complex communication difficulties related to complex medical and surgical conditions with a specific focus on acute and subacute areas.
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the speech pathology inpatient team to coordinate the delivery of clinical services and to develop and maintain clinical excellence and high standards of care. This includes management of infants and children with tracheostomy and ventilation requirements and provision of instrumental assessment if clinically indicated. This position will link to and provide supervision (where required) of clinicians working in oncology and cardiac subspecialties.
