Selection Criteria:

  1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse and or Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
  2. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others
  3. Relevant post registration qualifications in Diabetes or completion of relevant course with at least three years’ experience working in the clinical area of the Antenatal OPD
  4. Demonstrated commitment to the NSW Health Breastfeeding Policy and the BFHI Principles’
  5. Supports working in a person centred environment with demonstrated advanced clinical leadership in diabetes education and management.
  6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and autonomously with limited supervision
  7. Demonstrated ability to exercise professional knowledge and judgement in proving complex care/case management utilising advanced clinical skill in diabetes
  8. Commitment to ongoing education and upgrading of professional skills and ability to act as a mentor to others
