Exciting Role- Temporary, Full-time, Townsville | The Nurse Manager Clinical Resources provides advice on, and training about clinical products to supply chain staff, contribute to Queensland Health clinical product procurement and purchasing activities and consult directly with clinicians state-wide about issues related to clinical products.
The role
As a Registered Nurse in the Clinical Products Advisory role, you will work within the Queensland Health supply chain to ensure the availability, quality, and timely supply of clinical products to clinical areas. This includes monitoring stock levels, managing supply risks, and liaising with clinical staff across the state regarding product requirements, quality issues, and substitutions. You will provide advice and training on the safe storage, handling, and infection control of clinical products, acting as the clinical interface between clinicians and supply chain staff. Additionally, you will coordinate product recalls in accordance with the Therapeutic Goods Administration, monitor supplier performance, and seek opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, cost reduction, and product standardization.
You will contribute to the strategic leadership of Supply Chain Services, including involvement in procurement strategy, clinical evaluations, and the development of product specifications. Your role will require expert knowledge of clinical products and emerging trends in clinical practice, as well as familiarity with relevant Australian and international standards. As a key member of the Queensland Health Clinical Products Advisory Committee, you will provide clinical advice on standing offer arrangements and supply chain-related issues. You will also maintain accurate records of supplier interactions and manage product complaints, ensuring high-quality, safe services in alignment with Queensland Public Service values.
