Urology Departmen are looking for a Staff Specialist (Urology – Spinal Injuries) to join their team. This position will provide both general urological services to the urology department and specialist neurourology services to the spinal injury unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. This will include elective surgical services, outpatient clinics, multi-disciplinary team meetings and participation in teaching ward rounds

About the Role
- The position will provide assessment of neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction in spinal cord injured patients and management of related urological conditions.
- Contribution to the urology after hours on-call roster, training, education and supervision of junior medical staff.
This role provides specialist Urology clinical care to patients and assumes overall responsibility for patient care. Services provided include:
- Provides specialist services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service,
- Provides inpatient care, including participating in the on-call roster.
- Undertakes elective and/or emergency surgery / procedures.
- Provides inpatient consultations as requested.
- Provides outpatient consultations.
- Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetings.
- Supervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary team
- Participation and or leadership of research and quality improvement activities
