Please apply if you are interested in joining the Paediatric Pharmacy Technician Team at Sydney Children's Hospital. This is a rotational program position across inpatient dispensary, outpatient, ambulatory, production, gene therapy, automation and robotics. This position may also include inpatient inventory and medication management in paediatric Med/Surg, Oncology, Emergency and Intensive Care for appropriate qualified candidates.

What you'll be doing
To be part of the team facilitating the provision and further development of the pharmacy service to patients and clients of the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick including undertaking both technician support roles and advanced practice roles to enable the pharmacists to focus on clinical pharmacy service provision.

  2. Attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking all tasks
  3. Ability to understand and adhere to all legislative requirements
  4. Good verbal and written communication skills
  5. Experience with information technology and familiar with the use of pharmacy software e.g. iPharmacy system.
  6. Ability to perform mathematical calculations
  7. Demonstrated understanding and experience of dispensing/issuing of pharmaceuticals in a hospital or community pharmacy setting or equivalent experience.
  8. Candidates must have relevant qualifications as per the award to enable appointment as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 1 i.e. completed a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or up to the level of Certificate III (or as deemed equivalent by the organisation). Candidates who have Certificate IV qualifications as per the award may be considered for appointment as a Pharmacy Technician Grade 2.
