Medical Services are looking for a Deputy Director to join their team. The Deputy Director of Medical Services (DDMS) is responsible for providing high-level and effective medical leadership, collaborating with and supporting the Director of Medical Services (DMS) in delivering safe, high-quality, timely, and affordable clinical services. This includes overseeing organizational matters such as clinical governance, disaster management, research, service improvement, strategy, and workforce planning. Additionally, the DDMS offers leadership and management support within the Medical Services Service Line.

About the Role

  • The DDMS ensures the oversight of medical professional matters across Service Lines, including Beaudesert Hospital, while supporting effective interprofessional collaboration with stakeholders both within and outside of LBHS. 
  • Provide effective leadership and management to align with the vision and priorities of Logan and Beaudesert Health Service and Metro South Health to support staff to collaboratively achieve the clinical, operational, and financial objectives of the Service Line.
  • Collaborate with senior staff in the development of revised hospital wide operating systems, ensuring the Hospital functions safely and effectively, whilst providing significantly expanded services.
  • Lead and collaborate on detailed workforce planning and development, ensuring capacity and capability readiness for the commencement of expanded services.
  • Promote the development the workforce of the future, which is resilient and capable of meeting current and future challenges, through collaborations with University partners, Specialist Colleges, and other education providers.
