    • Classification - MD2 - Consultant / Senior Consultant - $365,798 to $619,164 (Subject to Private Practice Arrangements)
  • Part Time - Term Contract (temporary up to 30 Aug 2026)

About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Services team as a Orthopaedic Surgery Medical Consultant, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective and efficient medical services within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Delivering medical care to public and private inpatients and outpatients
  • Developing education and research portfolios within the department
  • Encouraging and supporting teamwork among staff for optimal clinical outcomes
  • Focusing on General Paediatric Orthopaedic (non-Spinal) conditions

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
  • Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Health Visiting Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2017 (or its successor)
  • Extensive knowledge and clinical experience in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing a quality service to the patient.
  • Skill in problem solving and decision making at an organisational and individual level
  • Experience with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs
  • Knowledge of administrative policies and practices of a large public hospital
