Senior Doctor/SMO - Non Specialist

  • Situated approximately 900 km north of Perth, this town lies at the mouth of the Gascoyne River on the Indian Ocean. The popular Shark Bay world heritage area lies to the south of the town and the Ningaloo Reef and the popular tourist town of Exmouth
  • This hospital is a 62 bed facility comprising general and maternity wards plus a 24 hour acute and emergency department
  • Accommodation provided. Reimburse up to $100 per day per rostered shift for car hire – agency or Locum to arrange the car hire. Economy return Airfare reimbursed.

A Western WA hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice from 01/03/2025.

SHIFTS:

1 March 2025 Onwards

GP/ED
Must be available for mix of shifts including nights (8am to 6pm, 10am to 8pm, 7pm to 4am and oncall until 8am). If locum refuses to work night shift a lesser amount will apply.
- Recognisable level GP clinics and Inpatient care experience
- Competency to undertake and cover night shifts up to 30% of working session.
- Confidence on handling frequent mental health presentations and drug and alcohol complications
- Prospect of regular or long-term commitments
