Senior Social Worker - Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for social workers passionate about working with children, young people and their families in a community mental health setting. The role provides short to medium term support to young people struggling with acute mental illness and their families. As a senior clinician within the CAMHS multidisciplinary team, you will be engaging in direct clinical practice, whilst working alongside colleagues from a variety of disciplines, including nursing, psychology, dietetics, speech therapy and psychiatry.
The service operates Monday to Friday 08:30am to 5pm. As this is a part time position, days and hours of work may be negotiated. Clinicians are based in Yaganda Bulabul, a newly renovated clinical space on the grounds of the beautiful Bloomfield campus, with staff also encouraged to see consumers in the community.
The role includes clinical assessment, case management, therapeutic intervention, psychosocial support, crisis response, safety planning, care planning, assertive outreach, advocacy, and coordination of supports.
Whilst working closely with the team leader, clinical leader and the wider team, you will receive clinical supervision and frequent professional development opportunities.
