Where you'll be working:
This Senior Clinical Dietitian position is situated at Manning Hospital Taree in the beautiful Manning Valley in very close proximity to idyllic beaches and scenic bushland. Taree is less than 2 hours north of Newcastle and 4 hours from Sydney and is surrounded by small beachside towns.

Manning Hospital is a 202 bed hospital with a wide range of specialty areas. As the successful applicant you will provide service to a broad range of casemix over all areas. You will work within a dynamic team of clinical dietitians who are dedicated to providing evidence based best practice, are highly respected and motivated to continuing professional development and keen to share their expertise with others.

About the role:

  • This position will provide a different professional experience each day.
  • The Level 3 Dietitian is responsible for providing expert patient-centred nutritional advice across a broad range of clinical areas to patients, carers and other Healthcare Professionals to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients of the service.
  • The Dietitian will ensure the nutritional care is delivered in accordance with the professional and organizational standards established by the Dietitian’s Association of Australia, Hunter New England Local Health District and other relevant bodies and reflects evidence-based knowledge and practice.
  • The successful applicant will be orientated to the Nutrition and Dietetic Department, and will undertake Professional Practice supervision.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
