As a Clinical Nurse - Community Midwife in our Country Health Connect team, you’ll provide expert care and support to mothers and babies on a casual basis, ensuring their health and well-being from birth onwards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for mothers and babies post-birth, assessing holistic needs.
  • Perform prenatal, postnatal, and neonatal investigations.
  • Offer expert case management to clients in community and clinical settings.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality care.
  • Mentor less experienced staff and guide their development.

What We're Looking For:

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
  • Eligible to hold a current practicing certificate with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring less experienced nurses/midwives.
  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing/midwifery practice, quality improvement systems, and relevant legislation.
