What you'll be doing
To provide an effective and efficient Social Work service that addresses the psychosocial aspects of care for patients as identified, providing intervention including support, education and resources to assist in dealing with health events.
To actively participate and contribute to the continued development of the Social Work professional role in the context of Health.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Social Work or other equivalent qualification and eligibility for membership of AASW. Demonstrated excellence in completing psychosocial assessments, planning and intervention for complex patient/family presentations in the health context.
Kempsey

The Kempsey District Hospital is a 81 bed level three facility with a level four 24-hour Emergency Department and a range of specialist services including, high dependency, general medicine, surgical day procedures, obstetrics, drug and alcohol, mental health, renal dialysis and rehabilitation.
Additional services include physiotherapy, dietetics, social work, occupational therapy and Aboriginal health. Diagnostic services include onsite pathology, CT scans, ultrasound and general x-ray.
