Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager in overseeing nursing staff, ensuring consistency and continuity of care.
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations, including staffing, recruitment, performance management, and rostering.
- Promote practice improvements and assist with the implementation of changes within the unit.
- Mentor and guide less experienced nursing staff and students, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Help manage financial, supply, and resource planning to ensure smooth running of services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience, or currently a Clinical Nurse.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in supervising staff and students.
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare legislation, quality improvement systems, and contemporary nursing issues.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
