About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allergy and Clinical Immunology team as a Nurse Consultant, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical nursing expertise and leadership for specified patients, groups, and areas of practice.
  • Acting as an expert resource for patients, families, health professionals, educational institutions, and the community across South Australia.
  • Delivering high-level child and adolescent allergy and clinical immunology care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Managing cases and supporting paediatric patients with allergic conditions and immunodeficiency diseases.
  • Coordinating and leading projects or programs to improve patient, client, and service outcomes.
  • Ensuring accountability for nursing/midwifery practice, care outcomes, professional advice, and delegated responsibilities.
  • Collaborating closely with allergy and immunology Medical Specialists and the Nurse Practitioner - Allergy and Immunology

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
  • Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post registration experience.
  • Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines.
