Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse ready to make an impact on the next generation of healthcare professionals? Campbelltown Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our orthopedic ward team. In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical leadership, preceptorship, and mentorship, fostering a collaborative approach to learning and development within the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting continuous learning and development to ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.
- Utilise adult learning principles to engage and empower individuals, enhancing their capabilities and clinical competence.
- Take responsibility for clinical practice, critical reflection, professional development, and performance reviews. Actively contribute to the coaching, teaching, and development of others.
- Work closely with management, other educators, and clinical nurse consultants to plan, deliver, and evaluate clinical teaching that meets the operational and strategic needs of the organization.
- Uphold the highest standards of nursing practice in line with the legislation, common law, Registered Nurse Standards for Practice, and the Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses. Be proactive in addressing any unsafe or unprofessional behavior in the workplace.
- Model and champion the NSW Health Code of Conduct and the Transforming Your Experience and Leadership Strategies, promoting a culture of integrity and professionalism within the team.

- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field or education post graduate qualification or a combination of education training and clinical experience deemed appropriate by SWSLHD.
- Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education / clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
