About us:
The Woorabinda Multi-Purpose Health Service, 175 km southwest of Rockhampton, provides healthcare to the Woorabinda community and surrounding areas. Staff offer 24/7 emergency care, inpatient and aged care, home support, mental health services, chronic disease care (including dialysis), and more. Outpatient and allied health services, including pharmacy and dental care, are also available. A proposal to add 14 aged care beds is underway. The service operates across three facilities: a 7-bed hospital, a 4-bed aged care unit, and a community health facility.
Note: A zero alcohol carriage and possession limit applies to the community of Woorabinda.
About the role:
The Registered Nurse (Acute Care Team) is a Registered Nurse practising autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, primarily in the Woorabinda Hospital providing direct nursing care in emergency, general-inpatient and outpatient care and residential care to clients of this predominately Indigenous, rural/remote health care setting.
About you:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- While not mandatory, further qualification or evidence of further learning relating to Rural and Remote Nursing and/or Midwifery/Xray Operator would be well regarded.
- Clinical knowledge and skills relevant to Rural and Remote nursing practice in an indigenous community.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the nursing assessment and care of individuals and groups in the Rural and Remote/Multi-Purpose Health Service setting.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $121,106 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $41.73 - $53.53 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
