About Nursing, Midwifery and Patient Experience

This facility-based Director of Nursing position is a key member of the Executive Nursing and Midwifery leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing strategic initiatives that ensure the nursing and midwifery workforce at Gold Coast University Hospital aligns seamlessly with the delivery needs of primary, secondary, and tertiary services.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Enabling strategic partnerships and collaboration
  • Demonstrating visionary leadership and driving cultural change
  • Collaborating with Health Service Executives and Nursing and Midwifery Leaders
  • Driving professional development, education, and research

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
  • A postgraduate qualification within a relevant specialty will be highly regarded
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
  • Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

  • Permanent full time
  • Base salary ranging from $191, 973 per annum
