About us:
The Perioperative Unit is located in block seven in the West Wing of Gladstone Hospital. The Gladstone Hospital has two operating rooms and a procedure room. Services include elective and emergency surgery, Day Surgery, Pre-Anaesthetic Clinic, and CSSD. The Perioperative Unit provides clinical care through the development and maintenance of relevant and proven patient care standards involving ongoing research in clinical applications.
About the role:
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager Grade 6.2 is a registered nurse who:
- Competence in the provision of nursing care as specified by registration requirements, NMBA standards and codes, educational preparation, relevant legislation, and context of care; and
- Specialised clinical expertise, greater experience and/or specialised skills in clinical care, leadership, management, education and or research in the perioperative area.
About you:
- Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- A relevant postgraduate diploma or Master's degree is an expectation of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance and development plan.
- Proven ability to apply contemporary leadership principles and maintain an effective and motivated team.
- Management skills and knowledge to assist in planning, resource management and development of self and others.
- Maintain an advanced level of knowledge and skills relevant to area of practice.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of $41,537 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate of $61.20 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
