1. Current authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse / Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with equivalent of three years Fulltime experience in an advanced nursing role within a rural care environment Authority to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
2. Demonstrated advanced nursing practice in a clinical leadership role in the area of practice in which you intend to practise as a nurse practitioner, within the past five years, complemented by research, education and management.
3. Demonstrated ability to consult or refer patients appropriately, to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team and across acute and community settings via leadership, teaching and collaborative skills with evidence of participation in research / quality activities related to specialty nursing.
4. Demonstrated high level of confidence and clinical; capability in carrying out a range of procedures, treatments and interventions that are evidence based and informed by specialist knowledge.
5. Demonstrated ability to critically appraise and integrate relevant research findings in decision making about health care management and patient interventions.
6. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and educational development of others, with a commitment to own professional development and currency of practice.
