About the role:

Join our dynamic team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the JHH Ear, Nose, and Throat Outpatient service, where you'll play a key role in delivering individualised, high-quality care to patients with complex needs. Utilising your advanced ENT clinical skills, you will assess, plan, organise, and deliver tailored care, ensuring optimal health outcomes for each patient in an outpatient setting.

In this role, your excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills will be essential, as you'll collaborate closely with a supportive and responsive team, including the Outpatient Nurse Unit Manager, JHH Outpatient Service Manager, and the ENT medical and nursing teams. You’ll have the opportunity to make sound clinical decisions based on your experience while working in an environment that values teamwork and continuous learning.

John Hunter Hospital currently undergoing a $835 million redevelopment project known as the John Hunter Health & Innovation Precinct, it is an exciting time to join the team. The JHH Outpatient Service is located in the Royal Newcastle Centre of the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, NSW. The clinics operate Monday- Friday 0800- 1630 hours.

Requirements:

Our successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Post registration qualifications relevant to the area of Ear Nose and Throat.
  • At least 3 years post registration experience within the ENT specialty.
