The Central Coast Local Health District is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Physiotherapist Level 3 to join their Aged Care team. This is a permanent full-time position where you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality, evidence-informed physiotherapy care to a diverse range of patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will lead, supervise, and mentor junior staff, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and advancing clinical practice.
In this role, you will provide advanced clinical physiotherapy services to clients, their families, and carers, specifically within the context of Aged Care. You will be responsible for managing complex cases that require advanced skills and independent decision-making. Your role will involve the planning, implementation, and evaluation of physiotherapy interventions, as well as leading and supervising junior staff, including Level 1/2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students. You will play a key role in ensuring that services are delivered efficiently and effectively by engaging in continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high clinical standards. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing education and training of staff and engage in professional practice supervision to ensure that clinical skills remain at the forefront of evidence-based practice.
About You
- You have a current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- You should have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- You will have excellent time management, prioritisation, and advanced clinical reasoning skills, allowing you to address complex clinical issues while maintaining professional and ethical boundaries.
- You have the ability to manage a demanding workload while remaining composed in high-pressure situations is essential.
Where You’ll Be Working
You will be working in the Physiotherapy Department at Gosford Hospital within the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD), serving a vibrant and diverse community across various healthcare settings, including residential aged care and community health services. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a team of dedicated professionals, while being part of a dynamic service committed to providing the best care for older adults. You will be required to travel across the district to various sites, so a valid driver’s license is essential for this role.
