An opportunity has now become available for a Medical Physics Registrar to join the Nepean Cancer Radiation team in a Temporary Full time role until March 2028.

The successful candidate will undertake clinical and academic training up to 4 years in order to meet the requirements for ACPSEM Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ROMP) TEAP. Ongoing employment will be subject to adequate progress against ACPSEM TEAP training benchmarks.

This role will see you involved in all aspects of providing a Clinical Radiation Oncology Medical Physics service. Additionally, you will participate in multidisciplinary research and development.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Bachelor of Science (Major in Physics) and completion of ACPSEM accredited medical physics MSc course or higher.
  2. Evidence able to complete the TEAP training within three years as per ACPSEM Clinical Training Guide requirements.
  3. Evidence of high academic records.
  4. Demonstrate interest in research and evidence of initiative in problem solving.
  5. Demonstrate good presentation as well as time and data management skills.
  6. Evidence of oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively both in a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently.
  7. Eligible or hold a current NSW EPA license IA29S and S29S.
