  1. Holds a medical qualification registerable in NSW, and has a current specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health) in Paediatric Medical Oncology or equivalent
  2. At least 1 year postgraduate training in paediatric Neuro-Oncology, preferably including at least 1 year clinical training in an international dedicated paediatric neuro-oncology unit
  3. Recent experience in the management of children with malignant diseases, bone marrow transplant, and non-malignant haematological disorders, with the ability to independently perform senior on-call duties
  4. Proven track record in research in the field of paediatric neuro-oncology
  5. Experience in provision of specialised paediatric neuro-oncology second opinions for national and international consults
  6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently, and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  7. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to express professional opinions while dealing compassionately with distressed patients and families
