What you'll be doing
You will join the Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team, a multidisciplinary service providing care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex health needs.
- Multidisciplinary team includes social work, psychology, medical, psychiatry, and nursing
- Focus on clinical care for young people and adults with intellectual disabilities
- Provide assessments, care planning, and service navigation
- Build capacity in primary healthcare teams and mainstream health staff
- Time-limited clinical service for unresolved health issues

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Completion of a recognised Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Registration in line with Award requirements: Current full registration with AHPRA, Psychology Board of Australia
Selection Criteria:
- Experience providing evidence-based, recovery oriented and trauma informed individual psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) for adults and young adults with mental illness.
- Experience providing clinical, psychometric and neurological assessments for adults and young adults with mental illness.
- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills in producing comprehensive reports or briefs.
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain consultative and collaborative relationships with mental health consumers and staff in multidisciplinary team settings.
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act 2007 and its application in work practices.
