Selection Criteria

  1. Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  2. Postgraduate qualification in the field of Management or associated fields and or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience in management.
  3. Demonstrated high level capacity to manage clinical services together with the ability to utilise communication strategies including negotiation and consultant skills.
  4. Demonstrated experience in service development and planning together with the ability to apply problem-solving strategies, quality improvement programs with proven ability in meeting service targets.
  5. Proven ability to contribute to, and advance the operational/business plans for nursing services, manage the process of organisational change, develop, monitor and evaluate nursing resource allocations.
  6. Experience and ability in accessing, acquiring and utilising a sound and contemporary knowledge of professional and management issues, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  7. Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
