Are you an experienced Senior Dietitian and ready for your next career challenge? Looking to develop your specialist clinical skills in a highly supported environment? Do you have an interest in working with and helping people with an eating disorder? This role is for you.The position works within a specialist multidisciplinary team providing clinical workforce support, guidance, education and workforce capability development to teams/services to improve service capability and the effective care of people with an eating disorder and their families presenting to SESLHD services.This includes dietetic consultation, education and guidance to SESLHD clinicians including generalist inpatient and community services on assessment, clinical management, treatment and discharge planning relating to eating disorders.As part of the Eating Disorders Clinical Support Team, this position will also provide direct targeted clinical care that supplements existing service provision to people with an eating disorder in inpatient, community-based and virtual care settings. This may include individual treatment, specialist nutritional education and counselling, facilitation of group treatment modes, facilitation of carer support and contribution to the ongoing development of the SESLHD Eating Disorders Specialist Team.
Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning in the area of eating disorders.
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience in eating disorders with demonstrated ability to provide consultation within and external to the organisation.
- Demonstrated understanding of consumer focused, recovery-oriented approach to working with people with mental health concerns and their families.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high level clinical advice, and development of education tools or programs to support others across interdisciplinary setting in providing service excellence.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes, including providing advice to managers to inform clinical service development, and practice change.
- Current unrestricted NSW Class C drivers licence and willingness to travel.
