Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or willingness and commitment to obtain, with extensive experience as a lived experience peer worker within Mental Health Services including personal lived experience as a consumer of mental health services, with demonstrated ability to utilise this experience in providing training and educational services. For Graduate Health Education Officer, additional relevant health or education degree required.
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health Recovery Framework, and extensive experience in collaborating, developing and co delivering education to people utilising mental health services.
- Experience in the supervision and mentoring of staff including those from a lived experience workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and increase the participation of people with lived experience in the planning and designing of services which are trauma informed and evidence based
- Experience in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to lead and implement quality improvement projects
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating health promotion events, projects or activities that promote mental health education, wellbeing, and awareness of services.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including negotiation, advocacy and conflict resolution.
- Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
