A Western NSW hospital requires Senior Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine for the following date(s).
Shift(s) details as below:
from 03/01/2025 14:00 to 11/01/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 25/03/2025 14:00 to 01/04/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 01/04/2025 14:00 to 08/04/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 08/04/2025 14:00 to 15/04/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
from 22/04/2025 14:00 to 29/04/2025 12:00 at $2000 per day
Role information: GP VMO with Emergency Skills. Covers ED and Ward. Must have completed eMeds training. Experience: Emergency, Trauma, Adult & Paediatric Support, sound clinical judgement and communicate appropriately. On-call requirements: You will be the sole Doctor on call 24/7. You will be called for all triage categories at the discretion of the local RN, vCare or VRGS. Expectation that you review all cases in-person throughout the day. Overnight (from 8pm) you are expected to review Category 1, 2s and 3s in-person. Category 4 and 5s will be at your discretion/if RN requires you to attend, you will be required to do so. On-call will also require you to attend inpatients that are deteriorating. Fatigue breaks if required are to be discussed prior to taking any break with the Health Service Manager. Please note support is available via vCare in emergency situations. — Hours required to be on-site: 8am ward rounds, followed by ED reviews etc - finish time to be negotiated with site. Must return to the ED when requested by nursing staff at any time.
