The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is looking for a young and dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide a high quality clinical service to consumers and their families/ carers to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for consumers of the Mental Health Assertive Outreach Team (AOT).

The AOT is a non-acute community mental health team that provides a comprehensive mental health service to consumers who are aged 18 and above, who have complex mental health needs and who live within the CCLHD.

AOT provides assertive recovery focused support as an alternative to inpatient care for this population. The tam offers an assertive outreach service where clients are treated in the least restrictive environment, either in the clients’ home or centre based appointments as close to the clients home as possible.

This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

About You

  • You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the impact on functional performance, for consumers with acute and chronic mental illness and relevant OT assessment and interventions.
  • You have demonstrated working knowledge of evidence based mental health OT practice skills, and experience in group facilitation and program planning based on identified consumer needs.
  • You have effective interpersonal skills, and clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with current Occupational Therapy registration with AHPRA.

You will be based at our Local Health Site at Citigate, Wyoming.
