About the role
Assisting with the provision of quality, safe person and family centred care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN). Work may be overseen by an Enrolled Nurse (EN).
This is part of a rolling recruitment process; applications will be assessed as received.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Beginning knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and the ability to seek assistance to appropriately manage patient-centre care requirements under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Supports and respects the multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to achieve common goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively in individual and group situations.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and manage own time to meet expectations, with an enthusiastic, calm and flexible approach.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- A Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Service Assistant or equivalent, or
- Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent Diploma of Nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies, or
- Successful completion of the first year full-time equivalent undergraduate nursing course including all theoretical and clinical competencies.
