St Vincent’s Private Hospital Toowoomba has opportunities for a Specialist Paediatrician to join an existing private practice or establish your own private practice. Our 197 bed facility services the Darling Downs and southwest Queensland region, a catchment area of more than 400,000 people.

Services at St Vincent’s Toowoomba include medical, surgical, maternity, paediatric, emergency, cardiac and rehabilitation. We are supported by comprehensive allied health and advanced medical and diagnostic services. We have Toowoomba’s only private paediatric ward with qualified paediatric nurses in a child-friendly environment, and the only private birthing suite and maternity ward.

Approximately 780 births occur in our maternity ward each year and eight private obstetricians practise within the hospital. Our special care nursey has Level 4 capability – gestation of 32 weeks and over – and has capacity for eight babies. We can provide CPAP and stabilisation of a vented neonate for transfer to higher care if needed.

Our current paediatricians have significant waiting lists for outpatient appointments. St Vincent’s Toowoomba offers support packages to help establish Visiting Medical Officers which includes financial, administration and marketing support.
