Clinical Nurse Consultant/Specialist

The Addiction Services are looking for several Clinical Nurses (CN) to join their Community Health Centres. The Clinical Nurse (CN) role involves advanced clinical expertise and problem-solving in managing complex cases of Addictions clients. The Clinical Nurse works independently within the healthcare team, focusing on planning, managing, and delivering specialized nursing care. They also offer clinical leadership, oversee professional practice, and contribute to education and research. Additionally, the Clinical Nurse supports management tasks and handles portfolio responsibilities.

About the Role

  • Demonstrate advanced assessment care planning and evaluation of complex Addictions nursing care and practice.
  • The service works with consumers who have a substance use disorder (including alcohol, tobacco, illicit drugs, prescription drugs, inhalants and over the counter preparations) within the Metro South area.
  • The service also supports people who are affected by the substance use of others.
    Services provided are free of charge, excluding any costs associated with prescribed medications.
  • Demonstrate advanced level clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management and delivery of comprehensive person-centred care.

The Process

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future permanent and temporary employment opportunities. If deemed suitable your details will remain in the Talent Pool for a period of 12 months and should there be an employment opportunity you will be contacted to discuss the opportunity further. Additional selection processes (interview, reference checks and pre-employment checks) to further assess suitability for appointment to a specific position may be required.
