Registered Nurse

  • Diagnostic - we care for patients having a scan with us. That may include cannulating, sedating or just being there to help get you through
  • Interventional - we are your pre/post nurse who get your ready and then care for you after your procedure
  • Scrub/Scout - we assist in our Interventionalists during your procedure in our own laboratories


Our model of care is very broad which includes but is not limited to holding a patient's hand during their prenatal Ultrasound all the way through to assisting/scrubbing for emergency clot retrievals and traumas.

About You:

We are seeking the right Nurse with a positive attitude who wants to be involved in service improvement. Whilst supported by the multidisciplinary team we also need to know you can work autonomously when required. The interventional space will require working in procedural labs wearing lead.

  • Previous experience in Interventional Radiology/Medical Imaging Nursing or a willingness to transition - Angiography Suite and operating theatre experience is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience and accreditation in the administration of intravenous sedation or willingness to obtain same within 3 months of commencing position.



Essential:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Accredited with Intravenous Cannulation or willingness to obtain same within 3 months of commencing position.
  • If required will work across HNEI sites within the Greater Newcastle Metropolitan Area
